When I saw thew Beatles in '66, I did get to see Bobby Hebb, The Cyrkle & the Ronnie-less Ronettes (Specter didn't trust Lennon), and Hendrix with Woody's Truck Stop (the best local band - period). I had friends in NYC who saw one of the Murray The K shows with Buffalo Springfield in it - who played 3 songs. And got a big encore and were allowed to encore - and did the same three songs again.... I saw Loudon III with Asleep at the Wheel as his intro.
